Good Reason

Sorry for the delay in posts, but I assure I had good reason to.

Since I was busy wedding planning and getting married! Though our ceremony and reception were small, it was still a lot of personalized work that went into it. I'm happy to have had a lot of my friends involved, or else I wouldn't have been able to keep my sanity. My friend Steve played our music, my friend Anna helped me arrange flowers, and my friend Robert was our photographer.

My craft skills also came in handy too! I crocheted my own necklace and bracelet. I did a scallop pattern with some cotton embroidery thread on an old chain I had lying around. And the bracelet was done with simple chain stitches with a pearl button to top it off. The beautiful feather headpiece was a custom order I had done by Steph from Clark & Diversy. Her Etsy shop is full of elegant work!

We were happy to keep the whole reception very low-key. No circus of a wedding, everything was eco-friendly and compostable, and a good amount of people. We served an assortment of beers, snacks, and cupcakes! A shout out to Braxton's Boxes for doing such an awesome job on our cupcakes! We had a variety of flavors and frostings that were all delicious. You can never have too many cupcakes.

I'm blessed to have so many gorgeous people in my life and talented friends!

P.S. There are some more casual photos from the reception on my friend Phuong's fashion blog Aussenhaut. You should probably bookmark it!
