Knitted Necklaces Aftermath

I received some photos and links of some Knotty Knitted Necklaces made by readers!

This one was made by Ellen of Birds Make Me Happy. I'm glad she figured out the good luck knot!

And this one was made by Aileen as seen here. I love the color and beautiful photographs!

I've made the necklace a handful of times now, so I also wanted to include some more tips...
  • In the tutorial, I used a cotton blend so it wouldn't pill as often. But after working with different fibers, including merino and cashmere blends, I found that the pilling was not as bad as I anticipated. So experiment with different yarns to see what suits you best.
  • Experimenting with length is also interesting. It's up to you on how high or low you want your necklace to sit around your neck.
Feel free to leave your own tips in the comments! Happy Knotting!

Mine is a superfine merino and seems to wear well.

Making necklaces was a fun project. Did not think about putting them on my blog. Thanks, Jan/DreamChallenge
